New and existing members can now open accounts from the comfort of their home or office computer thanks to the new online account opening service just launched at Power Financial Credit Union, one of South Florida's largest credit unions. Opening a new account is a simple, secure process that's fast and user-friendly.

According to Prindle, Power Financial Credit Union will be giving away thousands of dollars in FREE GAS CARDS as part of the official launch promotion of the online account opening services. From Monday, August 11, 2008 through Friday, August 15, 2008, consumers who open a new Cash Back Checking account using the online service will be eligible to receive a $25 gas card at the kick-off event, which takes place Saturday, August 23 from 10:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. at the Mobil 1 Lube Express located at the corner of Weston Road and State Road 84 in Sunrise/Weston. Existing members may also stop by the event to receive a free $10 gas card, while supplies last. Mobil 1 Lube Express will be offering a $5.99 discount on all oil changes, $5 off the purchase of Purigen98 (nitrogen) for tires along with 10% off all other services. Members can also enter to win prizes, including the grand prize which includes a $250 gas card, 2 tickets to the Ford 400 Championship at Homestead Miami Speedway and a free oil change. Snow cones, popcorn, music and an appearance by Rocky the Raccoon, Power Financial Credit Union's favorite, furry mascot, highlight the day's activities.
