It is that time of the year again to announce the 5th annual TSG 5k Run to create awareness of watersafety. This is a critical year to stand together and make sure we pass legislation to save lives. Legislators and state representatives will be attending. We need your support in sponsoring and coming out to join us.
Please help us with your sponsorship -see the attached application. If you are sponsoring please make sure you email your logo, so that it can be placed on the race application, banner and website ASAP. Great Way to show our children you care. We appreciate anything you can do.
Let's all continue to come together and make a difference in our community, state and most importantly keep our children educated and safe. This is for all our families, so that no other child, person has to suffer for something so preventable just by educating, and changing legislation. You can register for the run now on splitsecondtiming.com or on tylerscottgoldberg.com.
As the month of November is quickly approaching, the board members are working hard in getting ready to put on the 5h Annual Tyler Scott Goldberg Sunset Run, which will take place on Saturday November 19th at Markham Park at 4pm.
The Tyler Scott Goldberg Foundation has been an active non-profit organization since the untimely and preventable death of Weston teenager, Tyler Goldberg. Since the summer after his passing in 2007, our community leaders and community youth have been dedicating their time in the hopes of saving lives and helping Tyler’s name live on.
The Tyler Scott Goldberg Foundation is committed to
(a) preventing children from suffering injuries arising from the operation of personal watercraft by serving as a vehicle for legislative change, a source of targeted education in our schools, and an advocate for personal watercraft design change,
and
(b) easing the suffering
of those whose lives are impacted by the types of traumatic injuries typically associated with personal watercraft accidents through providing financial support for relevant medical research, enabling and expanding the scope and quality of services in trauma centers and pediatric intensive care units, and assisting families in coping with the many difficulties encountered when their child sustains similar injuries.
In just four short years, the Tyler Scott Goldberg Foundation has worked hard, and is continually working hard fighting for a change in legislation regarding the operation of Personal Water Crafts. The foundation also has a “Pay it Forward” aspect, in which backpacks are delivered to hospitals. These backpacks are filled with magazines, non-perishable foods, toiletries, pillows and blankets, and are given to families who receive that phone call, and must leave with nothing more than the shirt on their backs. The foundation has joined hands with the Quantum House in helping provide support and supplies for those families dealing with trauma.
Fighting hard and giving back are tough when they are done alone, which is why the members of the TSG Foundation are reaching out and asking our community to play a part. The TSG Foundation has goals to achieve ultimate greatness; which is ultimately to save the lives of our children. They ask you to please come out and support this very good cause, whether it is by running, walking, cheering, or simply coming out to the park, every little thing makes a big difference, and they ask you to be a part of the difference that is made.
